NWC2015 Qualifying Nations

Here are the Qualifying nations and their seeding for the Netball World Cup 2015, along with how many World Cups they have participated in.The top six teams for the Netball World cup have been determined based on the INF World Rankings on 1 July 2014. The top two teams from each of the regional qualifying events make up the remainder of the 16 positions. All teams have been seeded 1-16 based on their INF ranking as of 1 July 2014.

Australia - World ranking: 1

Australia qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 based on their number 1 world ranking at 1st July 2014.
Australia will contest their 14th consecutive Netball World Cup.


Barbados - World ranking: 10

Barbados qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 after finishing second behind Trinidad & Tobago at the America’s Netball Championship in August in Canada.
Barbados will compete at their 8th Netball World Cup.


England - World ranking: 3

England qualified for their 14th consecutive Netball World Cup as a result of their number 3 world ranking at 1st July 2014.
England will contest their 14th consecutive Netball World Cup.


Fiji - World ranking: 7

Fiji qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 1st place at the Oceania Qualification tournament in the Cook Islands in June.
Fiji will compete at their 8th Netball World Cup in 2015.


Jamaica - World ranking: 4

Jamaica qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by virtue of their world number 4 ranking at 1st July 2014.
Jamaica will contest their 14th consecutive Netball World Cup


Malawi - World ranking: 5

Malawi qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by virtue of its world ranking of number 5 in the world at 1st July 2014.
This will be Malawi’s 5th Netball World Cup appearance.


New Zealand - World ranking: 2

New Zealand qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by virtue of its world ranking of number 2 in the world at 1st July 2014.
New Zealand will contest their 14th consecutive Netball World Cup

Samoa - World ranking: 13

Samoa qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 2nd place behind Fiji at the Oceania Qualification tournament in the Cook Islands in June.
Samoa will compete at their 7th Netball World Cup in Sydney.


Scotland - World ranking: 12

Scotland qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 2nd place behind Wales at the European Qualification tournament in Wales in late May/early June.
Scotland will compete at their 13th Netball World Cup in Sydney. 


Singapore - World ranking: 18
Singapore qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 1st place beating Sri Lanka at the Asian Qualification tournament in Singapore this month.
Singapore will compete at their 9th Netball World Cup in Sydney.


South Africa - World ranking: 6

South Africa qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by virtue of its world ranking of number 6 in the world at 1st July 2014.
This will be South Africa’s 8th Netball World Cup appearance.


Sri Lanka - World ranking: 24

Sri Lanka qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 2nd place behind Singapore at the Asian Qualification tournament in Singapore this month.
Sri Lanka will compete at their 9th Netball World Cup in Sydney.


Trinidad & Tobago - World ranking: 9

Trinidad & Tobago qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by claiming 1st place beating Barbados at the America’s Qualification tournament in Canada in August.
Trinidad & Tobago will compete at their 13th Netball World Cup in Sydney. 


Uganda - World ranking: 15

Uganda booked their spot in Sydney winning the 2014 African Qualification tournament held in Botswana this month. They were undefeated winning all 5 tests.
Uganda has qualified for their 2nd Netball World Cup.


Wales - World ranking: 8

Wales qualified for Netball World Cup 2015 by winning the European Qualification tournament in Wales in late May/early June.
Wales will compete at their 13th Netball World Cup.


Zambia - World ranking:22

Zambia booked their spot in Sydney finishing second behind Uganda at the 2014 African Qualification tournament in Botswana.
